Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, Michigan has just re-opened for the 2015 Summer Season. For the past 35 years we have been continuously decorating the hotel to make it a special space to share memories. This year we completed new Cupola Suites on the fourth floor of the hotel that feature spectacular views of the Straits of Mackinac by day or by night. Each suite is decorated in our classic Grand Hotel style - that always have a surprise in store!
This quaint reading nook nestled beside the steps into a window seated area. These spaces are designed for summertime indoor enjoyment. (There are hardly any wet days on Mackinac during the summer months!) Photographed above is our Les Fleur de Toulon wallpaper and Saunders Plaid in Pink on the seat cushion
Our aqua color on the walls serves as a wonderful background to pen your memories on old fashioned postcards from Grand Hotel Shops. The painting featured here is by Marlee Musser which lends a serenity to this space.
In Michigan you will find some of the bluest skies, perfect for nighttime stargazing, year round. Notice the new dormers under a picture perfect blue sky to the left of the central roof Cupola which are the new Cupola Suites. Did you know the Cupola now houses a bar and pianist that is ideal for after-dinner drinks and a wonderful place to catch up with dear friends.
This pair of horses will soon have their winter coats trimmed in preparation of bringing guests to the hotel. Notice the new Sadie's Ice Cream Parlor awnings in the background that call all visitors in for a sweet treat.
We look forward to seeing you on Mackinac Island this summer! Visit GrandHotel.com for more information.
